POSITION OPEN

πŸŽͺ πŸŽͺ Director of Coaching & Curriculum – Build the Blueprint for Extraordinary Circus Training at CircArts

Remote role with online collaboration and structured planning systems.
Shape the curriculum. Coach the coaches. Raise the standard nationwide.

Are you a strategic, high-level coach with a passion for program design, skill progression and coach development? Do you see the big picture of athlete growth β€” not just from week to week, but year to year and beyond?

CircArts is seeking a visionary and highly organised Remote Head Coach to lead the development of our studio-wide coaching systems, lesson planning frameworks and curriculum progression β€” across all disciplines and training levels.

This is a rare opportunity to influence the future of a fast-growing national circus brand and ensure every student β€” whether training 1 hour or 10 hours per week β€” is moving purposefully toward their goals.

✨ Your Mission:

  • Lead the development and documentation of all curriculum pathways across aerial, acrobatics, handstands, flexibility, group skills and more.

  • Design lesson planning frameworks that balance long-term progression with short-term motivation and measurable wins.

  • Collaborate with specialist coaches to create multi-year skill development plans for long term high level skill progression that are flexible enough to suit both:

    • Students training 1 hour or less per week in a given discipline, and

    • Students training multiple hours weekly with career aspirations.

  • Train and mentor coaches to apply athlete development principles, manage student progression and design layered, intentional lesson sequences for short and long term progression.

  • Collaborate with our studio coaches to ensure consistency, quality and coaching excellence across all programs and levels.

  • Work closely with the Artist Development Director, Program Leads and admin team to align all curriculum with studio-wide outcomes and cultural standards.

  • Develop internal resources, coaching guides and Connecteam documentation that supports scalable, replicable delivery.

πŸ’» Remote Work, Deep Impact:

This is a remote first role, ideal for a master coach or curriculum strategist. You'll collaborate with the CircArts coaching team through online tools such as Zoom, Connecteam, shared drives and structured planning systems. You’ll also run workshops and in-person intensives on an as needed basis with students and coaches several times a year, providing real-time support and inspiration during key development phases. You'll also contribute to online training resources and support coach development across multiple sites as we expand nationally.

✨ You’ll Love This Role If You:

  • Have significant experience as a training director, senior coach, curriculum designer, or head of department in circus, gymnastics, acrobatics, or movement-based performance.

  • Love the science of coaching and progression and building frameworks, systems, and strategic coaching structures that others can use and replicate to guarantee results

  • Are fluent in long-term athlete development, biomechanics, and realistic goal setting across diverse training loads.

  • Can guide coaches to plan and teach intentionally β€” not just what comes next, but what comes 2–3 years from now.

  • Are a skilled communicator and mentor who empowers other coaches to grow in clarity and confidence.

🌈 Bonus Points If You:

  • Have experience writing curriculum for professional or elite training programs, RTOs, institutions, or franchise models.

  • Are confident working with online tools like Google Suite

  • Can teach professional development workshops (online and in person from time to time).

  • Are comfortable with mentoring team and performance managing as necessary to ensure they uphold coaching standard

  • Have been part of performance companies or training institutions with elite coaching systems.

  • Are passionate about helping recreational students AND aspiring pros reach their full potential through intelligent coaching.
